We use personal data to provide and improve the services, process payments, authenticate users, maintain a credits ledger, prevent fraud, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.
- DataForSEO - search provider. We send requests on your behalf to retrieve results.
- GDELT - news data provider. We send search keywords to retrieve recent news and related signals for News Explorer.
- OpenAlex - research data provider. We send search keywords and filters to retrieve scholarly works and related metadata for Scholarly Search.
- PayPal - payment processor. We share transaction and billing information necessary to complete purchases.
- Supabase - authentication and database provider that manages sign-in, session data, account records, and application data storage.
- Clerk - legacy authentication provider that may continue to process sign-in and session data for some accounts during migration.
- Other analytics, infrastructure, and hosting providers as needed, where applicable.
We record credits issued and spent in an audit ledger for billing, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution. Credits may be deducted when a request is initiated or processing begins, so interrupted requests may still consume credits.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your jurisdiction.
